Calcium fluoride window (CaF2) and magnesium fluoride (MgF2) crystals have high hardness, strong resistance to mechanical shock and thermal shock, and good transmittance in the ultraviolet, visible and infrared bands. They are widely used in scientific and technological fields such as lasers, infrared optics, ultraviolet optics and high-energy detectors. In particular, they have excellent optical properties in the ultraviolet band and are currently known optical crystals with ultraviolet cutoff bands. They have high transmittance and very low fluorescence radiation, making them ideal materials for ultraviolet photodetectors, ultraviolet lasers and ultraviolet optical systems.

Advantages of Calcium Fluoride Optical Windows
High Transmission Range: Calcium fluoride windows have a high transmission range and are well suited for applications requiring broad spectral transmission, such as spectroscopy and laser systems.
Ultraviolet Transmission: Calcium fluoride windows are transparent to UV light, which is not possible with traditional glass windows, making them ideal for UV spectroscopy and imaging applications.
Durability: Calcium fluoride windows are extremely durable and can withstand harsh environmental conditions, making them well-suited for industrial and scientific applications.
Thermal stability: Calcium fluoride windows are highly resistant to thermal shock and are well suited for high-temperature applications.
High refractive index: Calcium fluoride has a high refractive index, making it well suited for use in high-resolution imaging systems.
